Tom worked with me and my dog Max to learn a few basic obedience skills -- but to mainly fix Max's house training problems. He was always on time and Max was always pumped to see him!

I feel so much better about Max and his potty issues. He went from having multiple accidents a day to almost none. We are still working on these skills, after the course wrapped up! Max learned things like sit, stay, come, down and leave it. These are so fun to work with him on because he keeps progressing and learning new things!

He also taught max how to walk on a leash correctly and I must say it is an awesome when we are at the park! Overall I was very pleased with FetchMasters and Tom! Highly Recommended! :)

Tom at FetchMasters has without a doubt impacted my family life in the most positive way possible. Two months ago my significant other and I purchased a home and immediately went to MaxFund to adopt a dog. The dog we decided on was scruffy, underfed and came with an extremely angry/scared temperament. I instantly found it necessary to educate myself on this "fearful-aggressive" behavior, and I began searching for a trainer who specialized in this field.

MaxFund had suggested a training program, and I spent many hours on Yelp in search of the perfect match. I was disappointed with what I found. Every single company I called seemed to have several employees, and I was directed to the first available "agent" in my area, which felt extremely impersonal. The other issue I came across was the fact that I did not have $100 an hour to spend on personal dog training, but that was all I was able to find. When I contacted Tom at FetchMasters, he answered the phone with his pleasant voice, and I immediately found myself at ease. Here I was speaking with someone who seemed to care, and he actually listened to my adoption story.

He was able to relate to the fearful-aggressive behavior I was describing, and I was confident that upon starting training my dog and I would be more than pleased. When Tom arrived at our first session, I was blown away with how professionally he presented himself. My little dog, of course, barked and nipped and was beyond rude, and Tom handled the situation perfectly – I was a nervous wreck. From the first meeting through the five-week training course I became more impressed each session; Tom is a genius at what he does. The transformation that occurred with the dog I had adopted was beyond amazing.

My dog was able to sit, stay, leave it, down, walk perfectly on a leash, as well as know who the leader is all within just five weeks. The nipping and the biting stopped after the second session, and all concerns I had that I presented to Tom he addressed and helped with tremendously. Because of Tom I was able to give this feral two-year-old Schnauzer mix a new life, a life full of love and a life without fear. Upon completion of the training, I am able to enjoy this wonderful dog, and I was left with the skills needed to help me feel confident enough in adopting any other dog in the future.

Tom is incredible, he is professional, and he truly cares about his line of work. I can’t thank him enough. Anyone looking to acquire the skills necessary in training a dog from simple household commands to setting specific more in depth household rules needs to call Tom at FetchMasters. Without his help my house would be a zoo. It's much better when the animals in a home known their place and the level of respect is high. Tom changed our family for the best and I feel beyond lucky to have found him.

Our two dogs, Tyson and Sully, just completed Level One Obedience training with Tom from FetchMasters, and the results far exceed our expectations. Both dogs needed general obedience training and our youngest, Tyson, needed some serious behavior modification. After the six week course, both dogs became proficient in all areas of obedience and Tyson's behavior has seen a drastic improvement.

Tom took the time to address every one of our concerns, and his gentle yet firm approach was exactly what we were looking for. He gave us strategies we can implement in real-life situations, which helped extend the training beyond the one hour per week we spent with him. If you are looking for a trainer to work with your dog, make sure you contact FetchMasters.

We felt the service was very personal and tailored to our specific needs and circumstances. The training was informative to us as the pet owners and produced quick results as long as we were consistent with our homework. (You could tell when we hadn't done our homework.) These are tools we will be able to continue to use as our puppy grows and matures. Wheaton Terriers have a reputation for being strong-willed and difficult. With FetchMasters' guidance Deshka is very obedient and continues to learn quickly! She will probably always be strong-willed, however she is so well behaved our friends can't believe it. Thank you, FetchMasters!

Tom's genuine concern for our dog and the issues we needed to work through made working with FetchMasters a wonderful experience. It's not everyday that you come across a customer service based business that still believes in a work ethic and integrity. We will recommend FetchMasters to anyone looking for a trainer from basic obedience to more serious behavior issues.

There couldn't be any better way to learn to guide your dog's behavior than the 1-on-1-on-1 method in the home! Tom individualized each session and could see wrong moves on my part in dealing with Scooter on an every day level. To me, most (if not all) of Scooters hyperactivity, bolting, jumping and barking came about because I was ignorant of my dog's natural instincts. Knowledge is power!

Thanks so much for your knowledge and insights, Tom. I may regress at times, but I keep your guides and homework assignments out on the kitchen counter as a refresher course! I'm just so thankful I took your course, for both Scooter and me.

We employed FetchMasters to train our 5-month old Labrador puppy, Shelby. Our goal was to teach her basic commands for obedience and safety. Our sessions with Tom far exceeded our expectations.

The training was excellent in every way. Tom was very thorough, patient and positive. His hands-on and fun training techniques were perfect for our dog and family. He would introduce a command and then have each of us practice with Shelby. Tom was also fantastic about getting our boys, ages nine and thirteen, involved in the sessions.

In six weeks, we learned sit, down, focus, come, sit-stay at the front door, heel, fetch, leave it, and loose-leash walking. Our dog also learned how to be gentle when receiving treats, as well as a number of other good dog manners. In addition, he provided valuable lesson summaries and homework sheets for our ongoing review. We also learned that training does not end when the sessions are over. For the benefit of everyone involved, we practice daily to ensure continued success.

Finally, Tom took as much time as needed to provide comprehensive answers to every one of our questions regarding training and general pet-related issues.

Our dog and family truly benefited from the superb in-home training we received. We highly recommend Tom and FetchMasters and have already referred him to several of our friends. Thanks again for everything!

We hoped for two dogs who followed basic commands as a result of Level One Obedience. This training far exceeded our expectations. We now have two dogs who respect us both, and we are in sync when it comes to discipline. When we started the training, Hanley (our Rat Terrier) and I did not have a bond. Now Hanley respects me, and we love each other a lot. We finally feel like a family.

FetchMasters is great! It was very easy to have them come into my home and train my dogs in their own familiar environment. I would recommend them to anyone wanting advice about, or wanting to develop skills in, training their dogs.

Jack, our 8-month old Australian Cattle Dog mix is pretty wild, and our efforts to train him ourselves were proving to be rather difficult. We couldn't seem to get Jack to stop doing things we didn't like. So we sought the help of a professional trainer. We met with Tom once a week for an hour in a 6-week program, and we were quickly impressed with the results. Tom taught us that instead of scolding Jack for behavior we didn’t like, we needed to change our approach and reward him for good behaviors which would instill those behaviors permanently as time progressed. We had been thinking about Jack's training in the wrong way. Tom's training methods of positive reinforcement produced amazing results. We were amazed at how quickly Jack could learn when we used the techniques Tom showed us.

In those six sessions, Jack learned a wide variety of commands. Some commands were essential to his safety, and others were just for fun. They included: come, sit, down, leave it, drop it, wait, roll over, bow and shake. We also learned loose-leash walking. Tom would demonstrate a command and show us how to teach it, and after a few tries Jack would begin to pick it up. We were impressed with how quickly Jack would catch on.

Our favorite aspect of Tom's training was that he didn't just teach a set of commands, but instead he taught us a methodology that would allow us to teach Jack future commands ourselves which we have been successful with. For example, we applied Tom's techniques and Jack quickly learned how to play fetch in a park with many distractions around.

Tom exhibited a positive, fun attitude and was always patient with us and our dog. We believe we received an amazing value out of the short time we spent under his instruction. We now understand that training Jack is a lifelong process, not something that you do for a few weeks and are done with. Jack is far from perfect in his obedience, but we now have the tools necessary to keep making progress. We are very thankful that we sought professional guidance instead of trying to train Jack on our own. Through Tom teaching us how to train with our puppy, the bond between us and Jack has grown stronger. If you are thinking about seeking a professional trainer for your dog, we highly recommend Tom. You will not be disappointed.
